Buckingham Palace announced that British fashion designer Jasper Conran will receive the Order of the British Empire.

The 48-year old presented his first women’s wear collection in 1978. Conran received the Designer of the Year Award form the British Fashion Council in 1986. The medal will be presented by Prince Charles.

Alexander McQueen will offer Americans a rare opportunity to experience a taste of one of his runway extravaga. 

The celebrated designer will present a pared down version of his recent Paris collection featuring 20 looks, instead of 42, on a mini stage at Milk Studios on March 26.
