Escape artist David Blaine finally met up with a situation he does not want to break out of. The 36 year-old magician recently confirmed his engagement to French model Alizee Guinochet, age 23.

Blaine once survived living in a glass box for 44 days so the confines of matrimony should be a piece of cake for performer The bride to be showed off a thin gold band with 2 small diamonds and described it as a pre-engagement ring. Blaine promised to upgrade it once the economy improved. He also vowed to loose weight after noticeably stacking on the pounds.

It was a fashion show fit for a Prince at the 2009 Brazilian Carnival Ball, the key fund raiser for the world renowned Toronto Hospital for Sick Children.

The event featured 60 hot Carnival dancers flown in from Brazil decked out in dazzling feathered, beaded and sequined costumes. His Royal Highness The Duke of York, aka, Prince Andrew, who is a patron of the event was on hand as well as Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper.

The Brazilian Ball was founded in 1966 and remains Canada’s Premier fundraiser. 0ver 1,600 people came to donate and party. This year’s ball raised $2.6 million.
