Hockey can be a violent full on body checking sport when it comes to matters of the heart. 39 year-old Rachel Hunter was dumped by her much younger 27 year-old fiancé, Los Angeles Kings player Jarret Stoll, by a simple worded e-mail sent not to her but to wedding guests.

Just 7 weeks before the nuptials were to take place on August 14, she received word through friends that the hockey star appeared to get cold feet. Apparently the cowardly stick handler has still not talked to her and returned to his native Canada. Last year the couple bought a multimillion dollar mansion together in California. Hunter is said to be absolutely devastated.

The New Zealand born supermodel married Rod Stewart when she was only 21 and has 2 children with the rockstar.  A woman with a past she has been romantically linked to Bruce Willis, Kevin Costner, Michael Weatherly, Liam Gallagher, Robbie Williams, Wes Scantlin, Tommy Lee and hockey player Sean Avery.
