According to an American analyst the average person will spend less this season on that special person for Valentine's Day than last year. Men will out spend women by about two to one.
Individuals are expected to drop an average of $63.30 for women and $126.60 for men. That is a decrease of about 7 percent from last year. Consumers are expected to go through about $28 billion on love this Valentine's Day.
According to George Van Horn, senior analyst with research firm IBISWorld..."Valentine's Day is more of a discretionary occasion than Christmas and birthdays, which means it will be hit particularly hard by the current economic climate. “
