Kimora Lee Simmons announced she is exiting Phat Farm Fashions effective September 1st. The former model turned executive revealed her intentions to her 189,668 followers Twitter followers. She is currently president and creative director of Phat Fashions.

Her career in the business end of things began when she married Phat Farm founder Russell Simmons. On a whim he put a Baby Phat t-shirts on the runway, which lead to the founding of a separate trashy chic women's line under the direction of Kimora who eventually took over the whole company. Last season it was clear that something was up when Baby Phat did not show during New York Fashion Week.   In response to her departure she tweeted... “Sometimes we have limited choices in life ... We have 2 RIDE the WAVE baby! Team FABULOSITY!”
