According to WWD Anna Wintour could receive France's highest honour. The French of course take their fashion very very seriously. The editor in chief of American Vogue is believed to be up for the Legion d'Honneur.

Wintour has already been made a Member of the British Empire by the Queen. Recent recipients of a National Order of the Legion of Honour include Ralph Lauren, Giorgio Armani and Karl Lagerfeld. Vogue declined to comment on the rumours. The award is presented by the President of the French Republic.
