After months of rumours Blake Lively was chosen as the face of Chanel's new Mademoiselle handbag collection. The campaign will launch in April with an ad that was shot at Chanel's headquarters.

The Gossip Girl actress was seen paling around with Karl Lagerfeld and hanging out with Anna Wintour in Paris last fall. Creative Director Lagerfeld explained his choice by saying... "She's a kind of American dream girl ... think she will become a great actress."
