A Portuguese fashion and lifestyle journalist was brutally murdered and sexually mutilated by an aspiring male model in a Manhattan Hotel.

The pair met during a Portuguese model reality show that the 65 year-old slain Carlos Castro produced. Tensions ensued when 20 year-old Renato Seabra told Castro he was not gay and was only with him for the money and to get ahead in the modelling world.

Later that day the victim was found dead in the Times Square InterContinental Hotel. Seabra was arrested when he went to a hospital after cutting his wrists and was being held in the psychological ward.
