The man who built Bloomingdale's from an uninspiring department store into a retail powerhouse for fashion and style died at the age of 87. Marvin Traub began his forty year career after he graduated from Harvard Business School.

Known for his inexhaustible energy and visionary instincts he transformed retailing with a theatrical flare. Not one to sit back and do nothing when diagnosed with bladder cancer he started the 'Pin Down Bladder Cancer fund' to raise awareness and help fight the decease.
